Questions
What is Abrezo?
Abrezo is a private photo app for your family and closest friends. You take a photo and it appears on its own in the home-screen widget of the people you picked, without them opening anything. It's a way to be part of each other's day even when you live far apart.
Who sees my photos?
Only the people in your circle you send them to. Your circle holds up to 20 people and is formed by invitation only: there are no public profiles, no user search and no followers. With groups, like Family or Friends, you choose who gets each photo.
Is Abrezo free?
Yes, Abrezo is free today and you don't need a card to use it. If we add paid features in the future, we'll tell you in the app beforehand, and what you already used for free won't suddenly become paid.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes. Abrezo works on Android and iPhone, with a home-screen widget on both, and you can send photos from an iPhone to someone on Android and the other way round. It's coming soon to Google Play and the App Store.
Does the other person have to open the app?
No. The photo lands in the widget on their home screen and they see it when they unlock their phone, without opening anything or digging through messages. If they want, they can react with a heart right from the widget, or open the photo to write you a dedication on the back.
How is it different from a WhatsApp group?
On WhatsApp you have to open the app and find the photo among voice notes, chain messages and reminders, and statuses disappear after 24 hours. On Abrezo the photo shows up on its own on the home screen of the people you chose and stays there until the next one arrives.
How is it different from Locket?
Locket made receiving photos in a widget popular. Abrezo builds that idea for family and distance: it's in Spanish and English from day one, your circle is up to 20 people by mutual invitation, and groups let you choose who gets each photo, so family and friends don't mix.
